What happened to my boobs?
3rd Jan 2018
I was so ready for a massive shopping spree... Been saving up and desperately needed new bras. Not sports bras (obviously I use Q-LINN for all my sports bras) but normal day to day bras.
Victoria's Secret
So during our trip to the USA last month I eagerly went to the Victoria Secret's store... I bought bras with them before so I was confident that I would be able to get some nice ones this time as well.
NOPE
I tried on almost every bra in the store but none of them seemed to fit nicely... what happened to my boobs? I lost weight after my surgery so clearly I needed to go down a band size, but I just couldn't seem to get the cup size to work. It was a very sad moment. The cups were either too large and gaping at the top, or too tight, leaving me with a double breast on each side. Or a weird shape that pushed my boobs to the middle where they popped out of the bra. Really strange. Mind you - these were all bras in the same size: 32D as we figured out that this is my size now.
Other styles just didn't give any support at all and just breathing made my boobs jiggle - not a good look!
I gave up...
I left the store a very sad woman... here I was, money in hand and ready to spend big but no bras to fit nicely.

Next stop: Bra shopping at a department store
Not one to easily give up, I went to a department store to look at different brands. Some brands gave me the same results, but eventually I was able to find a few styles that suited me... but get this: one brand was a size 10D and the other brand was a size 10DD. There was even a brand where the best fitting bra was a size 10C.
Lesson learned: Start with your current cup size as a base but don't get too attached to the numbers. Size is less important than fit and comfort. If the best fitting bra is a size larger or smaller than what you usually wear.. don't worry about it.
That's why on the Q-LINN website we have instructions on how to measure yourself to select the best bra size from the sizing chart. Check it out HERE
