Which of the Q-Linn sports bras suits me best?
25th Jul 2017
When you look at the different Q-Linn sports bras you may feel a little overwhelmed by the choices:
- The Athens Bra with rounder cups
- The Amsterdam Bra with balconet cups
- The Q-Linn Barcelona Bra that looks more like a crop top
How do you choose the best sports bra?
Step 1:
What size are you?
The Athens and Amsterdam bras are available in sizes 12A, 10 B - 18DD
The Athens anthracite is also available in size 8 (8B, 8C, 8D )
The Barcelona bra is available in sizes 10C - 22G and up to 20H

Step 2:
What is your body type?
The Amsterdam and Barcelona sports bras are very similar in style - with the Barcelona design catering for larger breasts by creating more support on the top of the breasts.
From personal experience, the Amsterdam bra is true to size (please use the measurement table!) if not slightly small in the cup. If in doubt go up a cup size!
The Amsterdam bra is perfect for women who have breasts that are slightly oval in shape as it gives more support to the side of the cup. If your breasts are not that full on the top the Amsterdam bra will be a perfect fit.
The Athens bra is a lot more rounder in the cup which is perfect for women with a rounder breast type and enhanced breasts. If your breasts are (still) quite full on the top the athens bra is the perfect fit for you.
EXAMPLE ON THE Q-LINN SPORTS BRA SIZING: (from personal experience)
I have always been a 12D in all the sports bras I've ever worn - but when I tried on the 12D in the Athens it was WAY too big! I've lost quite a bit of weight lately so I measured myself again. (an unexpected side effect of changing my diet into whole foods plant based.. but that's a different story!...)
My ribcage (with the tape tight) measures 68cm.
My chest (with the tape lightly around an unpadded bra) measures 88 cm. (no wonder the bra was too large for me!)
According to the size chart I should be a 10C in the Q-Linn bra, and for the Athens sports bra this is correct. The 10C bra fits perfectly. For the Amsterdam bra I've chosen to go with the D cup as this gave me a bit more comfort and the wires sit nicer under the bra tissue with a nice line towards the armpit.
The Barcelona I chose is also the 10D and it fits perfectly :)
